Beirut is the project of Zach Condon, who channeled Balkan brass influences discovered while traveling Europe into his debut Gulag Orkestar and subsequent releases Lon Gisland, The Flying Club Cup, the double EP March of the Zapotec/Holland, Rip Tide, and the 4AD albums No No No and Gallipoli. In 2024 he released A Study of Losses, an 18-track album developed for Swedish circus Kompani Giraff.
